Thor: The Dark World - 3.5/5
Captain Philips - 3/5
Escape Plan - 3/5
Bad Grandpa - 3.5/5
Homefront - 3.5/5
Gravity - 4/5
The Counselor - 2.5/5

This is everything I've seen in like the last month or so.
I've seen thor and captain Phillips and agree with your mic rating. I disagree with gravity though I give it a 3/5. The 3d effects were good but the story was boring. You watch a lot of movies lol

Not even nearly as much as I used to. Here in the Netherlands the biggest theater chain has an Unlimited Pass, allowing free access to all regular movies for 19 bucks a month and 26 bucks for a Gold Pass that doesn't charge extra for 3D and IMAX. Around 2008/2009 when I only had like two classes left to finish up my studies I clocked in at over 100 movies both of those years, and that's only what I watched in theaters, lol.

Like all time? Shiiiiieeeeet, I'm not even sure. My tastes tend to be pretty extreme so it changes constantly depending on my mood, but five movies that I'll always take into consideration would be:

Chimes At Midnight (this one is the only one that I'm certain will always be #1)
The Blues Brothers
Leon: The Professional
Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain
The Thing (interchangeable with anything else John Carpenter did in the 80's)

Not surprised, since it's one of the hardest to find Orson Welles films. I don't think there's even an American dvd version of it (because of rights issues) and the few import copies that can be obtained are pretty low quality versions. Since a year or so it's actually easier to find since it's back in production but roughly five years ago finding this film was like finding the Holy Grail itself.

Just watched the movie and it's def better than the first. I actually started reading the book, glad I didn't finish it lol. But this movie followed the book more closely and had way better pacing. That ending was:wow:
There were mad levels to this movie that I'm sure went over a bunch of cats heads
Remember who your real enemy is:ohhh:

It was alright, definitely a lot better than the first one but let's be honest, that one was trash. The guys playing Peeta and Gale have zero charisma or screen presence so Jennifer Lawrence has to carry the entire love triangle on her own, which she does by putting in some serious work. She makes Katniss far more interesting than she should be, because she's one of those generic 'chosen' lead characters who just has stuff happening around her while it's the characters that surround her that make it worthwile.

I've seen some of you guys mention Star Wars which is actually perfect to make my case, because she's basically the series' Luke Skywalker while characters like Haymitch, President Snow, Effie, Caesar, Cinna, Finnick and Beetee are this movie's Han Solo, Darth Vader, Chewbacca, R2-D2, C3Po, Lando, eg. the heart of the series.

Also, it was painful to see the guy playing Finnick just dripping with charisma and screen presence the second he came on the screen (pause?) and totally embarrassing the actor playing Peeta. If only one of the young male leads is going to gain a successful career out of these movies, I'm telling you right now it's going to be him.

I didn't have that much of a beef with Peeta and Gale. It's just that Jennifer Lawrence is so good that she outshines those two at times. For her to be 23, she's an amazing actress. I think some other cat said Peeta and Katniss don't look like they belong together. Well, that's because in most hollywood movies, its Gale (or Finnick) that gets the girl. In the books, Gale is the strong hotheaded bad boy (no homo) and Peeta is the simp, nice guy. The author intentionally made it that way....that Katniss chooses the boring stable guy over the cool dangerous guy because its cliche. And also because the actor is short, it emphasizes more that he's the simp nice guy. In the next movie, Peeta will be on some goon sh*t though.

The bolded....yea. Finnick outshined Peeta and Gale. Keep in mind though, he's 28 years old and Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth are 22/21. The guy playing Finnick was in Snow White and the Huntsman and Pirates of the Caribbean and you never would have known it. This role will make his career like you said. Woody Harrelson.....I couldn't think of someone better to play Haymitch. I think this is the largest role in his career, not the best, but the largest. It's a good look for him. The girl that played Johanna was good. Elizabeth Banks plays Effie great. The first movie, she annoyed the sh*t out of me. This movie, her character didn't seem like such a vain, narcissistic c*nt. And her outfits :deadrose: Jeffery Wright killed it. Phillip Seymour Hoffman killed it.
I loved how President Snow was subtly threatening him throughout the movie on some "you can end up like the last guy" sh*t :mjpls: and Plutarch was playing the fukk out of him the whole time :mjpls:
