I don't think RZA was the one who wanted this kid that plays him playing him. Gotta be some industry favor shyt. RZA was on Big Boy radio show during the first season and Big Boy asked him how he feels about the the job the kid is doing playing him and RZA was like :ld:

He was like "Well, my wife says he's doing a good job as me.":yeshrug:

If I were to rank them
1. Rae - Shameik Moore - he has Rae to perfection. He has the slang, the hatin ass ice grill, the mannerisms, the presence, the walk
2. Dirty (moreso) like 1B - he's hitting a homerun every time he's on screen
3. Divine - Juan Martinez has Divine, including the voice. Divine is chill, but live. He was talkin to the bul, then gripped him up. That's Divine
4. Power - he has Power's presence.
Those 4 are doing an excellent job
5. Ghost - Saadiq didn't scream Ghost in earlier episodes, but he does embody Ghost's personality. He don't even have the voice, the rapid fire speech, but he's Ghost. It's damn near impossible to not see Ghost now
6. Deck - new bul has it, and looks like Deck.
7. Mef - Dave East doing a much better job this season. In Season 1 it was a NO

8. U-God - We haven't seen enough. Torture is a step in the right direction, but he's not grumpy enough.
9. Masta Killa - he's more vocal than early MK ever was . I'll wait to see his Chessboxin verse
10. RZA - by far the worst. Season 1 he didn't have the gravitas, the intelligence, the commanding presence, the aggressiveness, or the voice...and now he has some of the intelligence, but the voice throws it off. I can't see this Divine listening to RZA, or Rae, Mef, Dirty & Uey following him. However, in his defense, RZA is damn near impossible to replicate.

GZA I won't rank. GZA always did his own thing, and while they always went to GZA for advice, there's something not right about his GZA. I will say this, I watched the clip of his performance with GZA and it was spot on.
Didn't see enough of Math.
And I can see that being Mook "I don't know what you talkin bout...maybe I do got money stashed..." all while rockin a Rolex.

Great assessments. I agree with most of this.

Personally I think the GZA actor is up there with one of the best.

Thanks for this. I still haven't seen s1 yet. Once S2 is over I'll watch both seasons back to back.

Show is dope as fukk. Everyone but dude playing RZA killing their roles. I doze off when he on the screen.

Rae and ODB nailed their parts, you almost think if they related.

Not sure if people know this, but Shameik moore (Raekwon) voiced miles moore spider man for into the universe.

I rock with the RZA cat, he has the awkwardness down, all he is missing imo is the speech impediment. The shyt might be hard lowkey for even an impersonator to do in character for an entire series. As an actor he might be trying to bring his own interpretation to the role in a way.
