I started watching the first season last night after reading through the thread. It’s decent but it seems like you’re expected to have a little bit of prior knowledge about them. It’s a lot of characters and plot lines going on. I’ll admit I wasn’t that familiar so I been having to wikipedia people every few minutes lol. I was also thinking half this shyt couldn’t have really happened but apparently it did. Crazy these dudes end up rap royalty so I’ll stick with it.

Damn they had All That I Got Is You that long :wow:

That beat still hits. It’s so beautiful :mjcry:

Nah, because of the flood. BUT RZA was making beats specifically for each person, and saving them on floppies like that.

Having subtitles on helped a lot identifying characters. Wouldn't have known that was Masta Killa if the subs didn't say Jamel. Also the light skinned dude in Ohio with Ghost was Wise. Dope that they included him. Also don't know if anyone caught that the DJ at the party in episode 1 was 4th Disciple.

Masta Killa was pretty easy for me...he looked enough like him, plus he was in the casting news. Even though he's spoken more than MK did over the first 10 years lol. I figured that was Wise. Didn't know the DJ was 4th. RNS was in Season1. Season 2 seems to have everyone. Mook was a huge surprise for me as well.

I want to know who was the dude that shot Rae. Fisk? Radar Ruckus? LOL
