Dirty used to pull foul ish that affected the group. I think it was GZAs Crash Your Crew video, but Elektra was mad that Dirty showed up for that, and wasn't showing up for his own, so they got MCA to pull GZAs video. He had to reshoot it. I should still have the video with Dirty on VHS

:dahell: Ayo how does Ashton Sanders have a quadrillion times more charisma as the jive talkin record executive than literally any scene as RZA???

Yeah I think the blame gotta lie on direction. It's weird that RZA nailed every casting but himself
I think he was trying too hard to be RZA, so it all gets lost. RZA is unique to pull off though. If he talks more assertive, he loses the Zen master angle he seems to be going for, and the voice...

The one thing I like, but also hate about this show is how they aren't even touching on a fraction of RZA's intelligence. They've mentioned it, but it's what made this entire thing work. But I do like how they're using that time to display Divine & Power's contributions and intelligence, and every one else's creative process.

I really appreciate the love letter to Ason Ep 3 is...if you don't get it, I understand, but it's really an adept way to try and contextualize a very flawed man without casting judgement...that's very hard to do and I honestly think they pulled it off.

Also, props to Wu for continuing to amplify the fukk out of Syl Johnson even after his passing this season so far. That has got to be the most mutually beneficial sampling relationship in Hip-Hop history. He loved the fukk out of being sampled by Wu and they made every effort to pay him and proclaim his name for the inspirational artist he was. He credited RZA and Wu for giving him success his recording career never gave him and they're still showing him the respect back in this season through multiple episodes so far.

This is the epitome of what sample based Hip-Hop can bring to all artists involved and I hope everyone looks to the relationship of Syl Johnson & Wu-Tang as a template for what can be done to benefit multiple generations of music.

Episode 3 was tedious. Would’ve been easier to enjoy if I wasn’t aware that there are only 7 remaining episodes in the series :yeshrug:

So your telling they chose to do that bullshyt episode over doing an episode of RZA doing Gravediggaz or RZA setting up Wu affiliates like killarmy and sunz of man? What a joke

Early in episode 2 (06:30) when

When RZA arrives in the hospital and Dirty ain't there, then scene transitions to the Wu mansion. WHAT is that song that plays? I've never heard it before. :patrice:
