Was the Elektra deal a good look for him in the long run? Cuz if I remember correctly, Dirty died broke
Probably not, but ODB was livin reckless as hell too. Even when ODB realized his dream of signing with Def Jam(through Roc-A-Fella) he blew through all that money so fast.

The actor playing divine Mitchell sounds close to the real man.

Dave East sounds nothing like method aka shaquan especially the rapping, lol.
When Dave is just acting like Meth, he does fine. When he starts rapping, it's just Dave East if they told him, "you're paying tribute to Method Man at the BET Awards."

i think Dave East is one of the weak links in the show.... Method Man oozes charisma and almost steals the scene any time he's around and Dave East just doesnt have even a fraction of that charisma. he stands out by not standing out at all. and the second he raps he sounds terrible like he's not even a real rapper. only a few of the actors sound good at the rapping part in my opinion...

lol no
50 percent of the show is things that either never happened, or happened in the wrong order
they had the show at the fever after they were signed and their album was already released lol

that episode was made up lol

Really?
Man that was wrong to add that then
Because it shaped the entire relationship between the two even at the end of season 2.
If that's all a lie then it really wansn't worth it, with good writing they could have done something well executed that was based on the truth but with some exxageration for tv.

Every ODB interview or video I watch on youtube in the comments section everyone saying that the Wu abandoned ODB.
Like they should have helped him and not let him use all them drugs, and that then they left him when he was at his worst.

I'm not aware of any of that, can someone shed some light? Is that true?

ODB couldn't be controlled by anyone

Is it entirely true tho that they only did the show at The Fever after they signed? Because in the show they said they’ll do the venue again after they blow to the owner. I know video of the show at Fever was from after the album dropped but that doesn’t mean they didn’t perform there as unknowns right??

GZA, Ghost and ODB's actors are the only ones that consistently pull the raps well. Shameik Moore's voice is right for Rae tonally but he raps a little too soft spoken and INS' delivery isn't quite right. Ghost's voice may be off but you can hear that same hunger and fire of the real thing.

But GZA's actor be KILLING it. Dude is out to bum rush every bit of screen time he has :mjlol:
