But it would be misleading to say Republicans are not for anything; they certainly do have an agenda. The problem is that it is so unpopular they dare not remind voters about their plans.

Agreed. They're just against things. Especially if those things are supported by liberals or leftists. Who would've thought 2.5 years ago that they'd become an anti-vaxx party where masks basically became their main talking point? Republicans/conservatives are all about stupid culture war shyt because they don't have any real policy proposals or ideas. It's either undoing legislation to roll us back in time, deregulation to let capitalism run unchecked, or muddying the waters on culture war bullshyt.

This is something I thought Biden did very right at his press conference, and something the Dems really need to hammer home in the run-up to the midterms.

Republicans don't have an actual agenda. Just two years ago, the only thing resembling an agenda they had was "Whatever Trump wants to do."

If Dems can actually hammer that point home, while also staying otherwise united amongst any future Manchinema fukkery, the midterms may not be so bad for them.
