Carville has been right for awhile but people are so obsessed with grievance based politics they can’t admit it. This is not sustainable. Sure there are people who LOVE a politics where all that matters is feeling you are superior to the anti-science/racist/transphobic masses while nothing is actually done to help you. But that’s not most people. I need way less grievance, and more action.
The voting rights push is a perfect example. Biden gave a weirdly aggressive speech, basically called republicans racists…and got nothing done. Bill won’t pass or even come close. So all you did was “fire up” your base but how much of the base actually cares? Not much. I was told Georgia couldn’t be won after Kemp changed the laws in 2018/2019. Yet democrats won big in 2020….

Nah, Carville is an idiot. They can't brag about their accomplishments because nobody's buying their shyt.
Low unemployment? People got kicked off UI months ago. That doesn't tell the whole story of the workforce, and it hasn't at any point post- Great Recession.
Wages going up? Eight Senate Democrats voted no on a $15 minimum wage. And these wages aren't exactly keeping up with inflation.
Economy? People are still worried about inflation, so bragging about that seems out of touch to most people.
Infrastructure? They spent months pointing out how BIF and BBB were tied together, and how BBB was the bigger, more important and more popular bill, only for Manchin to tank it on Fox News of all places. Bragging about BIF at this point is like bragging about how you got an A on your homework assignment when you flunked the exam, which was a bigger part of your grade.
Cutting child poverty? That's great, but the CTC has already expired, and they can't get it renewed because Manchin is against it.

Its MLK day and dems have NOTHING. Really embarrassing.
Yeah its a failure of historic proportions. Its a little hard to even celebrate MLK day knowing we're headed right back to the Jim Crow era in terms of voting rights. Its a failure not only of the Biden Administration but America as a whole. You would think by 2022, we should have really been the multi-racial democracy MLK envisioned, instead we're in the burning building he warned about before his death.
