That's pointless to me tbh.

If Republicans found it politically advantageous to get rid of the filibuster, they would have done it already. But they knew it shielded them because their platform is massively unpopular, and it would have backfired on them immediately.

And if they find it advantageous to get rid of it next time they're in power, they'll do it anyway. They could give AF about a 'talking filibuster' if they find it in the way of their agenda.

We’re in agreement somewhat so it’s funny you dont see why I’m saying this. The filibuster is a M.A.D. scenario...protecting both sides in the event they become the minority. So neither wanted to remove it but honestly the Republicans moreso as they are less likely to win elections fair and square and they know it. Which is why they resort to gerrymandering and voter suppression, and when they lose the election, flat out obstruction and filibustering. But it’s still not worth the risk for Dems to get rid of the last insurance plan we have to stop the Republicans in the event that we need to. We shouldn’t have short memories. Seven months ago we would’ve been screaming bloody murder if Trump could jam through whatever he wanted with no need to consult with Democrats.

It was a good conference overall. A few mild stumbles like normal but most of his answers sounded solid and knowledgeable.

Biden had to say he would expect to run again. If he didn't answer it, the news media would make sure that question consumed and overshadowed his whole Presidency. It would make it harder for him to get things done as well.

The shots are how awful Trump was, was pretty hilarious.
