This tweet is very misleading. It implies that Biden is somehow more pro-union than FDR. Even though we don't have any quotes from him, we know FDR was very pro-union not by his words but by his actions. Like during the sit-down strike in Flint, MI FDR sent the national guard to keep the police from brutalizing the GM union workers. Could anyone really see Biden going so far as to send the national guard after the local police to protect a protest?
Now I do applaud Biden for making the statement, because statements do matter. It's good for the president to allow himself to be put on record as standing by the union. However, action is more important than sentiment, and you can't imply FDR is less pro-union just because he never overtly said it on record. Now, granted, we're barely a month into Biden's presidency, so he has more than enough time to put actions behind those words. Nevertheless, you shouldn't prematurely crown somebody the king of being pro-union just because of a single tweet.
