I've consistently said they should pass student debt relief legislation as well as free college.
I've also said that since he doesn't have the votes he should attempt to the 10k via executive action and see how it stands up to the challenges.
Lastly, I've said if people wanted 50k in debt relief they should have voted for the people pushing it instead of believing they were going to make Biden do something he didn't run on.
Folks who know they will have student debt after 10k in forgiveness should have been using the last 3 years to pay down their student debt 
If they do it becomes a wedge issue when Republicans challenge it.
It's April, people have 4 months to prepare in any event.

With the state of inflation, I'd be shocked if the Biden admin did any student loan forgiveness this year. That's just on an honest reading of the economic climate. People want cheap chicken wings and the "Biden is the reason for inflation" narrative is already in full gear now

80% of students were in default BEFORE covid. Interest rates are out of control and balances have skyrocketed.
