Am I the only one here who remembers them being late and never paying bills at all ? Also in the time when they got that house houses was only like 25-50k even in bay area let alone chicago :sitdown:

my parents moved outta vallejo in the mid 70s and bought a house in fairfield for 25k :manny:

keep in mind that show started in the 80s and they was already married for like 10 years
depends on the time and the house I guess...but in SF metro...no way you couldve gotten a house like that below 100k

yeah but keep in mind we talkin SF.. some of the highest priced houses in america


where al bundy was livin im sure that house woulda cost 25-50k a the most , even if it was like 75k he still wasnt payin them bills

The house was an eye sore for the neighborhood. It was a situation where it was an old piece of shyt and people built around it. That's why you have the poor family living in the same neighborhood as people doing well.

Al's salary covered their bills but they were always dead broke because of Peggy spending and the kids eating up whatever was left.

It's to show you that if you get married in this day and age you LOST.

That house wasn't that nice, he clearly lived in a lower-middle class area or a busted house in a nice neighborhood. Yes, in the 80's that house would've went for 60-65k tops, but in those days, if you had a steady job and you saved your money, you could get into some sort of house, even with average credit. Also, Al didn't seem to spend his money overly recklessly. If Peggy and the Kelly weren't so f*cking high-maintenance, they probably live better.
