Ohhhh okay, you're talking about THAT video. From the other thread. Yeah thats where/how this thread happened. I shared some stuff in there and was asked to make a thread here in The Root.

The bolded is 100% correct and the thread is meant to explain why. I'm not making his exact same argument wholesale though. So if anybody is arguing cuz if something else HE said beyond the bolded... they're off premise from what I'm asserting.

You're welcome. I think if people have a strong enough case to make, that it can stand on it's own merits..and distortions aren't necessary.

People are distorting my point by injecting words I never said and forming arguments I never made. xoxodede is the one that approached me to make this a thread. Now she's talking about "end thread" and thanking you for "calling this mess out". Had I known the thread was gonna be whatever yall wanna distort it into, rather than a historical discussion and debate, then I wouldn't have wasted my time.

The distortion was made by the man in the video I posted, which is why I posted and wrote out the exact lines I disagreed with. I specified that he could have stated his case without distortions.

You'd have to explain what you mean by "You've done 'this' before". Idk what 'this' is or what it means to you but I can say I tried for a while to discuss political measures like grassroots campaigning, grooming candidates for local office, lobbying, etc-- things any group with a political objective would benefit would benefit from and it was a problem. So I let "y'all" cook there and share my thoughts elsewhere. I didn't even plan on making this thread, but again (I think we're on the 5th time now) I was asked to make it. Explicitly stated what it's about and everything-- and its still a problem.

@ciroq drobama , I'm sorry that you misinterpreted my previous post. I don't send stealth shots (at least not in the Root section)and I always debate in good faith. In fact, I won't engage with those who don't debate in good faith also.

I will read the OP, and address it at face value, not on the previously mentioned video, tomorrow.

There's a few ways to answer this:

First, if you notice, that post has a hashtag... #ADOS-- Where as the thread title is simply ADOS. That's not an accident. Idk about anyone else but when *I* say "#ADOS", I'm talking about the online movement with Yvette/Tone, etc. When I say "ADOS" alone, I mean us as a people.

I don't like or agree with that terminology, cuz I have way too high a regard for our ancestors and ourselves to ever consider any of "slaves"-- that's a sentiment and repurposement made by/to the advantage of Europeans (I feel the same way 10x more on the n-word) but I use the term (ADOS) here for the sake of convenience and clarity.


Y'all are my people, my community, but we disagree when it comes to this #ADOS stuff. Just like an AME person would disagree with an NOI person, etc. And yes, I'm for reparations exclusively for us and what we built for this country... It's the bullshyt I can't rock with Hope that answered your question.
