Were gonna need them 4k tvs to take full advantage breh :sadcam:

I haven't bought a cd in 5 years.
I can see why people like digital flicks though they do look almost as good and you can get em a month sooner and companies been skimming on the special features lately anyway.

But I will continue to buy physical of movies I love and hope they have the ultraviolet code for when im not home

I dont rock with digital books I like having those in hand

Digital books I can do to a degree but even with that, I prefer to have them in my hands. I wouldn't think of reading a James Bond novel on my iPad. But I do believe in putting money where the mouth is especially with music. I can't sit there and complain about the state of hip hop if I'm not buying anything.

I dunno, there was a time when people wanted to "own" music also but once technology made it so that they didn't have to... the sales of CD's dropped astronomically. A lot of people are perfectly fine either downloading mp3's or streaming through spotify.

Once we get to the point where basically every movie ever is available to stream and/or download, I can't imagine a lot of people are gonna be feel compelled to shell out bucks for a plastic case and some extra features. Like others are saying it's gonna be something strictly for the collectors.

The need/desire for music to be portable makes this a problematic comparison.

Don't be too hard on yourself.

Corporations killed the music biz and killed hip hop. Not the consumers.

It is but I think it boils down to storage and convenience for most people. And the average person doesnt care about picture quality like us hardcores.

My brother in law buys everything on vudu. And his cheap ass buys SD even though he has a huge hd tv :beli:

Yeah if I see a good deal on a dvd/blu ray I'm going to always pick it up even though I've got hundreds already to get around to watching, just can't resist it.

Word. I already owned Scream on blu ray and wanted scream 2 which costs $5..why not spend an extra $5 and get 3 more full length features?

The decline in record sales and the overabundance of music being released should have forced these labels to step their game UP, not down.

Also should've forced the artists to do better too so that's my point. If I want more music like Cuban Linx and less Drake simp anthems, I need to support Rae. It may not work but music is just like tv and movies, audience driven and bottom line driven. If more dudes like Rae sold, we'd have more music being put out like that

French's album barely went double plywood and he's still on every other hit single.

Rae don't sell cause Rae ain't promoted.

Plus the labels ain't tryna push genuine artists as much anymore. The album has been replaced by the playlist and playlists are compromised of singles. That's where we are right now, an era of singles.

Hip-hop (and really the music biz in general) has a heavy, HEAVY corporate influence right now. Stronger than it has ever been.

We didn't do that, they did.
