Saw somebody drop that Corduroy, Where the wild things are and Madeline :wow:

Y'alls childhood was just like mine.

Surprised nobody dropped a Bernstein Bear book yet.

I remember them as being "Bernstein Bears" as well. To my horror I saw one of the books on amazon and it read "BerEnstAin Bears" just like they all do now... Googled it and came up with this article. I don't know if our childhood memories are real :sadcam:

The Berenst(E)ain Bears Conspiracy Theory That Has Convinced the Internet There Are Parallel Universes

I remember the book fairs and how cool it was to buy shyt. No one wanted to be that one poor kid who couldn't buy anything.

When I was younger, the book fair was like a second Christmas. I got this MLB poster of all thirty teams (already outdated by the time I got it because the Montreal Expos were the Washington Nationals), a world record book (read some really dope shyt in there), a book about the top baseball players and this Football's Super Six book. I was a fiend for sports books when I was younger. The Football's Super Six book was like crack in literature. But one day, I left it behind at recess and never saw it again. I was :mjcry: for a while after everything I went through to get it.

I read alot of the books in here or maybe I just remember the covers.....

By 7th-8th grade, I was reading Stephen King, National Geographic, Vibe, Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, Essence/Ebony, BusinessWeek, Time magazines and local newspaper...basically a forum of periodicals :ohhh:........all right before the internet was mainstream...

I didn't have cable, so magazines were my cable...:russ:
