I would say I'm liberal and I support the Democratic Party insofar as they're better than the Republican Party.

That doesn't mean I cosign everything they say and do.
Their incessant need to protect feelings and play identity politics makes me roll my eyes.

That said, we are at a point now where Democrats and Republicans are so ideologically opposed that no compromises can be made on anything. Neither side is seemingly willing to work together on anything because sticking together is valued above all.

I saw something recently that this current Congress has passed the fewest bills in American history.
NOTHING is getting done.

If a White person wanted to deny you a job based on your race, killed you if they knew you were unarmed, gentrify your neighborhood, give you an unfair jail sentence, or deny you a renting/buying a house in a certain neighborhood it would be from both a Democratic or Republican CAC, and they wouldn't care if you were a Democrat or not

I've always considered myself a left-leaning independent, I'm not registered with any party.

That said, I've voted Dem in every election except 2010 (I think I forgot to vote that year). Can't see myself ever voting GOP.
