You can be an independent and vote for a third party that represents your interests. If enough people are voting for a third party with popular policies, one of the major parties will attempt to co opt those policies. It's part of something called brokerage politics and both big parties want you to think that voting peoples party or green isn't an option.

What Republicans and democrats want you to do is become loyal to their brand. They don't want to consistently compete and show you how much they're listening to you and giving you what you want because they absolutely don't have to. Once you've voted for them and they've won they are under no obligation to actually do anything as they enjoy the money from the campaign donations you gave them and use their new role to collect kick backs from lobbyists.

Democrat/Liberal. I'm Religious (Christian) and lean pretty far left. I'm a science person but don't let my beliefs interfere with my work (yes, this is possible).

Don't agree with everything they say nor trust every Democrat, but those truly to the left got their head on straight for the most part. fukk a genocide, free Palestine.

Middle finger to a MAGA and what they stand for. It's insane to think how far they set this country back, not in 4 years, but the 2 year run they had in 2016 that we're dealing with today. Seriously dislike grifters.

I am not a Democrat, and in fact dislike the DNC for a myriad of reasons, HOWEVER, I'm a harm reduction, binary choice person (not voting, or voting third party is simply not an option as it is essentially a vote for the other party) and when the other side are white supremacist, neo fascists who are well past hiding exactly what they are and what their intentions are, then I'm voting Democrat in every election until such time a viable third party manifests. To do anything else, by my estimation, as a black person is tantamount to sabotaging yourself, and your people so severe is the threat these people pose.

Independent that always votes Democrat/Progressive. I'm in TX so ain't no way in hell I am voting Rs. I wouldn't consider myself a social conservative but my beliefs don't always align with progressives.

I believe women are equal and back the right to choose, but do believe the father's voice should be heard as well, unless it is rape/incest/etc.

I think there should be a pathway to citizenship, but believe there should be strict border policies in place. Canadians are invading us.

I believe in a less militarized police, bail reform, prison reform, eradication of privatized prisonsas well as an increased community policing.

There's more I can tell you but I'll need donations to build a coalition to stop political grifting.
