-School In Session:
Like i said dude you and "fans" like you are stuck in this superstar bs and don't see the bigger picture.
Knicks are paying Melo a max salary($20,463,024 $22,407,474 $24,351,924) next 3 years. Pretty soon they will have to think about extending him. Can you realistically see this knicks team contending with a team built around Melo? No! if you paying that much money and your biggest hope is to "make the playoffs" and "do some noise" than you aren't going anywhere.
I think the Knicks trading the house for Melo was one of the biggest mistake they made. All they needed with that D'Antoni offense was a PG.

Amare is on a max salary too and nobody is willing to trade for(with this CBA) him on two bad knees. Can you realistically see this knicks team contending with a team built around Melo? I'll always remember that 42 - 17 game
We had nothing for him that game, that shyt had me nervous as fukk
I'm a Bulls fan and I remember him draining the game winner over Deng and co., I was mad cause I knew he was gonna do the hesitation to pull up too.

Two quotes from non-Knicks fans:
It amazes me how people still lean on that gimmick as some sort of proven system.

So you'd rather be bum team, make the playoffs rather try something different to see if you can contend? You dont have to put lin as PG but with that Anthony trade you could get better complimentary pieces for the team that the knicks had.
And y do u keep using ESPN as credible counter-argument?![]()
Exactly. What did it prove outside of limited success? In a copy cat league, no one is copying Mike _'Antoni's system for a REASON.
limited success???
what do you call knicks current chance of success or lack thereof?![]()
the one against the bulls other then that I didn't look at other examples in this thread
