So there are often more black writers writing for these publications than it appears to be based on their actual staff.

so you're saying they're not hiring the black ones but just paying them as they go on an as needed basis.... meanwhile the staff members who they do choose to hire seem to have more in common.. I wonder if it is a unique perspective or writing style
