After making this thread I've talked to some black men and women also some of my spanish peoples too.

Best believe me, there are alot of black people that have journalism degrees that have applied to work at this places and have gotten turned down. Not with the blatant "you're not the right fit for our company...blah blah blah..." but with the more looming and menacing "we'll call you"/.

And they never get a call back.

You're forgetting that the majority of these places are based in NYC which is the most diverse city in America. 2 million black people live here alone.

How is it even possible to create urban media outlets in a city like NYC yet have the staffs be more than 50% white? It doesn't make sense unless the good ole boys club has extended to black music and art.

i was gonna assume no more than 6 black people total worked for those publications. Sucks that I'm pretty close
