How long are we gonna keep pretending hip hop culture as it is, is negative and a terrible look for the black community?

You are right, but politics control that also. Rum DMC fans didn't ask for NWA (although necessary), PAC and Biggie fans didn't ask for the money, cars, hoes music from Cash Money and No Limit, Cash Money fans didn't ask for the drug dealing hustlers like 50 and Dip set, 50 fans didn't ask for Cash Money to resurface as a power house, Wane and Drake fans didn't ask for drug using music from Future, ect.

And the thing is, all those forms of rap had always existed, but the musical diversity of the radio died after 50 Cent. Early 2000's you didn't hear the sane 5-7 songs over and over and over and over again. All those 5-7 songs are always shyt that forwards a negative influence on fans. Young girl heard WAP 20 tines a day, hood nikkas hear shoot em up bang bang 20 tines a day.

All that shyt was intentional asf.
Kids today have access to way more music than us. They don’t have to just listen to the radio or what cd’s they or their friends had. They literally can stream any song ever recorded and can discover new artist daily.

and how do they stream? devices dont just pop up under their pillows like the tooth fairy. yall keep trying to avoid the main intervening factors and variables lol

if i have a kid and i come to know they aint wrapped too tight (as if lol), they aren't getting a device with data and they aren't hanging with their friends at any time they want :manny: too many parents have random unplanned kids they aren't ready for for the long haul, get tired, and just end up satisfied with the kid being "happy and healthy" even if that includes having them sit in the house being babysat by thesmart phone and xbox.

The thing that gets me with the supporters is you think we have enough wiggle room to play around? To throw the dice and hope this music that carries a message doesn't persuade some stupid shyt? Why risk it?

What’s the solution , you wanna ban all hip hop since you saying it’s no wiggle room ? You wanna not give people the same choices that we had growing up. Wasn’t the murder rate higher back then.

and? i was piggy backing off the point. that's how conversations work lol. if what i said doesn't apply to you specifically that's ok.

but yeah in these conversations you might see people posting videos or something like that of a little kid rapping or wearing what some may consider hip hop apparel as if they just acquired these thing out of nowhere .... "see guys, i told you rap is influential :damn:".

Exactly

Colleges weren’t paying Nirvana to perform for new students/homecoming.

Imagine Harvard paying Eminem to perform back in the early 2000s :dead:

Eminem was getting played on Rock music stations during his run. The same stations that would never even think to play songs by Black rappers :mjpls:

And cacs of all ages basically lost their minds about Eminem and crowned him the king of music and you had Black rappers being ridiculous and crowning him the best rapper ever.

When if he were Black they'd give him the same respect they gave Canibus. Which is none.

They'd just call him a cornball battle/backpack/punchline rapper and keep it moving.

If someone is truly influenced by music they’re a fukking dumbass. Now there was gonna be steppers regardless Music plays a small factor into it. Crime rates were higher when hip hop wasn’t even around. Just say you don’t like hip hop it’s not that deep

We have an edgelord culture that’s ironically very corny

The more edgier you are the more attention you get, and you have to be more edgier than you were last time to maintain it. This has resulted in a lot of unnecessary confusion, “leaders” and deaths.

Basically, parody material.

Stooping to new lows just to remain cool is how you get middle aged gangstas with health problems and grey hair, still talking tough. Started from the Crack Era and the changed values that many black folk had like materialism and attention whoring.

Say drill “music”, hip hop culture includes these types of songs

These 2 songs have no negative influences at all , krs be dropping gems on my philosophy. I can post several more examples. Theres always been violent/negative hip hop music but this wakk new genocide music is the main culprit

But those tracks are over 30 years old :dahell:

Show me one positive track, that has gotten popularity, that was made within the last 12 months?
