The last time I seen a Kmart was 1994 or 1995. So many stores that were around in adolescence and teenage years are gone.

Kmart, Toys R Us, Circuit City, Warehouse Music, Foley's, Tower Records, KB Toys, Funcoland, Montgomery Ward, Sears, etc. :flabbynsick:

"The Warehouse" for CDs :wow:
Blockbuster :wow:
Hollywood video
CompUSA
Think BIG5 is done now as well

When even BIG5 had jordan releases :wow:

down payments on video games at Toys R Us :pachaha:
lay away at K Mart when times get hard :wow:

getting newspaper deals for the weekend :wow:

waking up early to call Toys R Us, Radio Shack, Circuit City etc to see if they still had the newest game in stock and if they could put it on hold for you til you come get it :wow:

Circuit City was over pricing electronics so much they was paying high commissions to sales people :pachaha:

no one knew better :manny: internet wasnt readily wide spread enough to compare prices outside of the news paper deals

im not an Amazon hater.. because it makes everything simple to order

but having MULTIPLE places to shop around was nice pretty much a small adventure every time you go out :pachaha: leave your house at 9 am and come back at like 3 pm then hop on some Goldeneye with some Pizza with ya friends :blessed:

that experience will never be replicated

everything is mainstreamed now.. for better or worse.. ive seen both the good and the bad that comes with less competition
