How is it trolling to say you like the Black aesthetic of the 80s?

Early 90’s too.
Then Southern rappers came into the picture and before you knew it was over.
Culture been trash ever since.

No point in sugar coating the truth.
The South killed hip hop and debased black pop culture.
It is what it is.

THIS.

No Limt and Cash Money are the forefathers when speaking about the destruction of hip-hop.

Oversaturation of weak rappers and lack of substance...the South at one point was musically respectable for the most part in the years prior to No Limit and Cash Money arriving who started overflowing the genre with senseless drivel.

I think a lot of people have spent too much time talking about movies television and music As being Some sort of bench marks for what being black is.

Its a sign of the increased immaturity (no adults in the room) that has pervaded the community since
the early 1990s.

The Dr. King generation and earlier ones did not overvalue entertainment the way it is valued now. They had
other priorities like raising their families and gaining fair employment, housing, education, etc.

LA Face spanned the late 80's and 90's. Jam & Lewis were far more 80's.

Boomerang was the peak.

These embryos on thecoli need to fall back

etc ... :ufdup::ufdup:

I'll stand by my assertion that LA & Babyface are products of the 1980s R&B scene.

Anybody who doesn't know that they were creating hits as The Deele going back to the
early 80s isn't a devotee of the culture.

Then they essentially become the house production team for MCA Records late 80s, dominant black music
division, headed by Jheryl Busby. This is when Bobby Brown goes from a prince to a king on MCA via their writing and production.

Because of their success in the 80s, Clive Davis signs them to a huge joint venture with Arista in 1989. That venture was called LaFace Records. They moved their operations to Atlanta and the rest, as they say, becomes music history.

you can use the term "products" to water down your initial insinuation.

check their Grammy wins, their hits, their sales and that will tell you when their PEAK :ufdup:was ....

(and that it not even an argument that I am trying to make but :yeshrug:the mandem have to put the yutdem inna dem place)

LSA cac aligned plants gonna plant, but I’m tired of trying to save and warn y’all or be the source of conflict bc no one listens until shyt hits the fan. The issue will be revisited in a few months, don’t mind me; leaving my spot here for the inevitable conclusion.

You’re already in the red because you’re a fukkin agent of division and dissension trying to front. Like I’ve been trying to tell them, the @Ya replacement poster.

Look at everyone arguing already - Black people can never “PEAK” that which we dominate and created regardless of the time frame. We just have to learn our worth and stop letting intruders corrupt the culture for their personal benefit and control the output of our own innovation and invention. When whites or the others get hold, they exploit or dilute our contributions as black pepper which is why they make it seem like we are not relevant and here you are passing their message.
