youre right about chinatown in queens blowing up. brooklyn too. but manhattan chinatown changing? not true. its tough to find an apartment in chinatown. they cram as many as they can into those walkups, and hold the mitchel lamas on the eastern border like confucious plaza and knickerbocker village (still a few old white ppl there though) the fukk down. maybe a couple new developed "luxury" buildings have popped up but if anything even more chinese people are moving into manhattan chinatown. a lot are illegal and just pass through for a bit too. they singlehandedly took over knickerbocker village and that big mitchell lama on water street too. plus the vladek projects over by the river have a ton of chinese too. they're not going anywhere. people spot a couple white people and think the world is freezing over, go down to catherine street and see how many boutiques, cafes, dog groomers, etc... are. only dogs you're seeing down there are hanging up in the butcher's window
