Xbox One actually had a much better line up of games over the first 3 years, further proving that the TV, TV, TV meme is . Sony sandbagged their lineup until the second half of the console generation, just like with the PS3. Now one thing we both forgot to mention was that the PS4 released at a price of $399, while the Xbox One released at $499. That may actually be the biggest difference maker.
