Which is why Doctors should be paid well.......if Doctors were not compared to other professions, it would only be right to assume there will be less Doctors and less students pursuing the Med school.....Btw I work in the hospital and have been for 2 years....and I to question what Obama care gonna do to my job and others including the doctors ....being my hospital is non-profit and struggles compared to others
Who is saying doctors shouldn't be paid? :wtf:

And dude I literally grew up w/a doctor, have friends + family who are doctors and have worked for years in medical administration. Its not a job for people who aren't passionate about the profession

No, I'm that guy... saying doctors shouldn't be in it for the money isn't the same as saying they shouldn't get paid what their work is worth

Wait a min.....so we both agree doctors should be paid well:mindblown:...then there is nothing to debate about, I just think we are looking at in different ways...I was never arguing this point highlighted because I'm not gonna sit here and pretend to know about how doctors are paid, because I don't....I was just saying the base pay for doctors should be good....and it is ok for a shorty to want to go after that money........now rather or not they got the heart to get through it all is up to them

More or less, yeah. It's my opinion. I said my prospective is different. My perception of life is varies from yours. "If I choose to be a doctor". F*ck the money, I want the experiences. I've been around a lot of people with money. It's not my end goal in life. I'd work for pennies, as long as I had adequate food and a place to workout. But then again, my outlook on life is different than most people.

They're still stuck on the bottom two levels:

Point Blank:

(imo)An Individual shouldn't engage in any line of work, where the end result is met with dissatisfaction, simply because an individual had a utopic vision of a perfect lifestyle, doesn't negate the fact reaching that point maybe like seeking an unfulfilled facade(nothing concrete).

As an ER doc who shares in the overall profit that his group generates, my brother is actually in favor of Obamacare.

When someone walks into the ER, you're not allowed to deny them service, regardless of whether they have insurance or not. So a lot of times, my brother was seeing patients who would walk into the ER complaining about some bogus shyt so that they could get painkillers or muscle relaxers, who didn't have insurance. He'd have to see them anyway, knowing they weren't gonna pay their ER bill, and thus he likely wouldn't ever see money from that patient.

With Obamacare, instances like the one above will occur far less often. However, the potential issue is that now that those same people might be covered under Obamacare, they might come into the ER more frequently, knowing that they won't be coming out of pocket for the visit and won't have to deal with the hospital calling them all the time trying to collect on their ER bill. So he may end up doing a lot more work for only a little bit more compensation.

Exactly. Hence the reason we will end up exponentially driving up the overall cost of healthcare in the country. Expect healthcare costs to double. Why you ask? Because the average American is an entitled fukk who thinks that the world revolves around them. People will be demanding all sorts of unnecessary tests simple because they don't have to pay for it, thanks to big daddy Obama. Then when this happens, people will look to blame doctors for "making too much money" when in reality doctors order tests simply because most patients expect it as part of "good" care. Patients will even jump from doc to doc until they meet the doctors they like.

Obamacare may have been a novel idea in the 50's and 60's when Americans were more self reliant and hardworking. Americans today are so eager to suck the tit of the nanny state for free meals and actually feel entitled to do so is staggering.
Mark my words, Obamacare will end up costing Americans more than ever. I advise those who want to make money to invest in healthcare stocks now!

They will probably set limits on certain procedures friend. You think a hospital is going to let someone get an MRI done every day? :heh:

I'm sayin, you can't just go to the hospital and demand a certain test

it'll be just like now if you have a non-emergency. you call the doctor, make an appointment, see the doctor, explain your problem, and then the doctor determines what tests you might need

If Obamacare pays for it of course! Remember, the hospital and the radiologist make money when tests are preformed. People already vilify insurance companies for denying claims! When people have a blank check courtesy of the federal government, what the hell do you think will happen next? And if anyone tries to clamp down in the federal government, people will then claim they are beind denied access to healthcare and all sorts of shyt will ensue.

Can you say death panels??

Death panels because someone is denied access to an expensive medical equipment they just accessed a week before. Dr's have discresion to know when what procedures are necessary. Hypocondriacs will not be allowed to ruin health care. We are already losing 200k people per year due to medical mistakes. You think this death panel number is going to really raise these tragedies if Dr's dont let people decide every aspect of their treatment?
