It would be great if they did this for teachers

No, it would not.

People expecting smart individuals to go into medicine and acquire tons of debt for little or no pay are morons. Those who feel their doctors shouldn't get paid should instead seek care from a Physician assistant or Nurse Practioner. Doctors sacrifice a huge chunk of their life to become the specialists that they are and should be compensated handsomely.

They are compensated handsomely.

yes there are shytty docs who really dont care, just like every other profession on this fukkin planet. it your job as a consumer to find reviews on these doctors, talk to other people or whatever means necessary to figure out who the best docs are. If you dont do that its your own damn fault.:snoop:

They have everything on the internet about these doctors, yrs experience, schools they went to for all levels (see where the Medical school they attended ranks in the country), where they practiced their residency, what r they board certified in, what boards do they sit on, reviews from patients.

Just cause you dont have insurance doesnt mean u cant see these doctors, u just need money...u can work out payment plans....even if you have insurance, there are still co-pays and deductibles to meet. shyt aint free if you have insurance, i still have to pay some of the bill even though my insurance covers a portion.

this is way too logical of a post for this thread

Is this a disagreement?:dwillhuh:

Teachers are teaching 20 unique, living human beings who all learn and respond differently.

If you are judging how well a teacher is performing based on the results that the students are producing then it is extremely flawed.

We've all sat in classrooms before....if you cant tell the difference between a good and bad teacher...I mean come on.

Not being able to fire the bad ones is a problem....and your explanation is pretty much allowing that to happen. There's zero accountability in the US educational system.

Honestly my goal in life does not involve around money, it never has been....I just never liked the ideal that a person who pursues money as the goal is dishonorable or evil.....In fact my goal in life is keeping my family well off as much as I can humanly possible

Again... if you go into medicine for the sole purpose of making a lot of money you are in the wrong field and will be a terrible doctor

Doctors should be compensated for their skills and contributions but they shouldn't be in it primarily for the compensation

$$$$ isn't everything

The only way anyone can prove this comment is with actual proof and data collected on all doctors (good and bad)........you are making an assumption based on your on ideals......I am not saying you are wrong or right.....unless you have a non bias data to prove this

Future presidents and Congress are going to have to tackle some type of "Medical Practitioner's Reform" because there is already a global doctor shortage right now which will get worse in 20 years...with people not wanting to go in the medical field like before.

Y'all shouldn't be on that "they shouldn't do it for the money" shyt...because these people spend years going through rigorous training and take on a HEAVY amount of debt...only to end up deep in debt doing one of the hardest jobs imaginable.

Its no wonder folks don't wanna be doctors anymore or go only for the high paying speciality medical jobs...leading to the current doctor shortage crisis.

sounds like teh debt needs to be addressed. The price of a doctor is inflated in america. I can go to mexico and receive the same level of quality for CERTAIN (MAKE SURE YOUR READ THIS), certain things.

It's inflated because the cost of education. I'm not saying i have the answers but we need to be able to address the COST of insurance if we're going to expect the government to foot the bill and 250k a year family doctor IMHO is a bit much.

I never said that there wasn't any bad teachers.

I said, it is not a good way to measure a teachers performance

Medicine is hard work. Med school is grueling. Dealing with insurers & litigious patients is a hassle. Being responsible for people's lives is stressful How do I know? A lot of folks in my family including my pops are either doctors or work in medicine. My lil bro is applying for medical school. Lot of my friends are doctors. I know bro. Its not easy and its not for everybody. Money is not enough.

Part of the solution I think is to subsidize medical school.

Make getting more medical practitioners a national priority and make it easier for students to leave med school with little debt as possible...that way more people would get into the field for the right reasons rather than it being all about money and paying off massive debts. Not to mention making more people getting into primary care (where there's the shortage) instead of the specialty areas.

This is a good article about that: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/29/opinion/29bach.html

Which is why Doctors should be paid well.......if Doctors were not compared to other professions, it would only be right to assume there will be less Doctors and less students pursuing the Med school.....Btw I work in the hospital and have been for 2 years....and I to question what Obama care gonna do to my job and others including the doctors ....being my hospital is non-profit and struggles compared to others
