I live in... Canada... and you know what, I love this country and most of the people here :gladbron:

I'm sure you enjoy the freedom Canada provides.
I'm sure mosques are allowed to be built there.

Can a Christian build a Church in Mecca?

Actually man, I know that you're trolling but I'm turning over a new leaf and wanna be nice to you bro, so I'll answer your questions so we can one day be friends, bro!

Canada provides religious freedom because it is a secular democracy based on humanist values, not Christianity, just like America.

A Muslim cannot build a Mosque in the Vatican, the most holy site for Catholics, and nobody can build anything in Mecca, the most holy site for Muslims. Islam dictates that all religions in Muslim lands should be able to practice their faiths unimpeded, which is why the Jews of the Levant sought the protection of the Muslims during the Crusades. The great Jewish Philosopher Maimonides lived under Muslim rule and tutelage, and was allowed to say just about whatever he wanted in peace. If you want to know more about Islam, or Islamic history, let me know and I'll give you the appropriate links, you seem to be a very inquisitive and curious guy!

I like Canada, but you guys overrate it as this utopia. Let's not go too far. The US is a better place to live than most places in the world. It's just becoming increasingly difficult. Still has the greatest potential on earth if we could get rid of some of these old relics. Carter losing that second term really set us back with that conservative SCOTUS.

Most Muslim countries don't allow Christian Churches to be built....:rudy:

Vatican is part of Rome. Controlled by the Italian government.

Mosques can be found everywhere in Rome. Try building a Church in Saudi Arabia.....:usure:

I have never seen a Muslim arrested or killed for preaching Qur'an in Vatican city. Try preaching Jesus in Mecca...

This is like my 8th time quoting u in the last like hour :wow:

Yea Canada is severely overrated as a Utopia ESPECIALLY the big cities which have almost all the problems of an American big cities except for the extreme proliferation of firearms, but it is my home and I can't help but think that I helped build it simply by being a productive tax paying member of society, if even briefly. The best part of Canada in relation to the United States outside of the economic/welfare comparisons, and this is strictly in my view, is the lack of a true Canadian identity, and therefore we Canadians on the cutting edge of Western society and the evolution of societal values and roles, without the precondition of traditionalism.

Basically Canadians have no idea what direction the country is heading in culturally and that's what is exciting about Canada.

The Vatican is a separate nation within Italy, so it's not really in Rome, and it is not controlled by the Italian government. What most Muslim countries do has nothing really to do with Islam, but actually most Muslim countries do allow churches and have Christians, and always have. Saudi Arabia is an extreme example of a sect known as the Wahhabi sect, which is very strict and "fundamentalist" in its literal interpretations of texts. It is not indicative of the entire Sunni faith... and texts clearly indicate allowing for religious freedom in lands controlled by Muslims. I'm sure you could have preached "Jesus" in Mecca during the Ottoman Rule, is what I'm saying, Mecca is a pretty big city.

I always wished the US had the balls that Canada did to modify it's Constitution. We really need to implement the second bill of rights. That will never happen in the US. It really should not have taken us this long. We made that big jump in the 60s and then got stagnant and now we're going backwards. I didn't even notice that you were quoting me, I don't get half that shyt in my notifications sometimes. That's why I stay not replying to people. I was about to tell you though that if you were applying to law school this is the time, people all over are not applying because of the market so it's easier to get in to a top program.

I saw a homeless woman take a shyt in the lawn of an office building at the intersection of a busy street. That was in America. There's shyt everywhere.

The Italian government designates the Vatican as a state entity within Italy. The Pope and religious clergy still pays taxes to the Italian government.

lol at the Vatican not being part of Rome. No Italian needs a passport or has to jump through immigration hoops to visit the Vatican.

Vatican is in ROME. Rome has mosques.

You can build churches in Muslim Nations. Muslims started off being oppressed and pushed out due to their religious beliefs... so it's a big deal in Islam to allow to religious freedom.

Your pic from the dailymail might show something crazy.. but Islam is a peaceful religion. If you would seriously practice it's pillars for a while you will be more peaceful, more focused. You seem to believe that 2 billion people on Earth want to cut peoples heads off.

That's what I mean about being on the cutting edge... since our country is rather insignificant (it is what it is) we are allowed to discuss things that are taboo in the rest of the world... Like our second most populous province openly advocates for secession, and we're looking for ways to appease that... Oil money in one province paying for anothers lack of ... money... and how that plays out in the minds of voters... As far as politics in terms of transformations, Canada is light years ahead of anyplace I can think of, as far as significance, American politics is the most important in the world for sure.

I'm going IN to my fourth year tho I ain't applying for shyt :flabbynsick:

You can't be serious with this.....

I am serious with that. Lets skip the semantics about the Vatican, because you are wrong but it's not important.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vatican_City (first few sentences)

Anyway, what the leader of a Muslim country does has no bearing on Islam at all. I'll demonstrate this using History.

The Fatimid Dynasty controlled a large part of the Muslim World from 909-1171

Fatimid Caliphate - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia And they were part of a sect known as the Shia, which many Muslims (including myself) do not consider to be Muslims at all.

The Mongols had control over the center of the Islamic world (Baghdad) for a period too

Ilkhanate - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

They converted to Islam later on though, however they ruled not as Muslims.

Just using these two examples, you can see the leadership of the "Islamic World" changes all the time, however the actual faith of Islam doesn't change. The rulers try and base their laws on Islam to some degree and whatever interpretation they think is correct, however this is not uniform. Therefore, my statement is true.

Again, if you want to learn Islamic history, let me know!
