One of the GOATs. His movie roles are nothing to write home about, but his work on Martin was Emmy-worthy. I think people forget how young Martin was when that show came out (26-27). By the time it was reduced to Gina being gone and "Pam's bref-so-stank" jokes, it was awful. But those first...I'll say three seasons were pure piff.

He was good in House Party and Bad Boys.

All that shyt where he's dressing up as a pimp, fat old lady or the bytch across the hall is shockingly unfunny. I don't understand why he's so revered. There was another thread where people where people were ranking him with Dave, Eddie etc but he's nowhere close.

He's never really did anything to make me look at him past a comedic actor. He's fine in that regard, but can't really see past that as he never tested himself. All the roles I've seen and every listed movie here were at the end of the day, comedy roles, played 80-95% comedically.

He is soild to good. Not the biggest fan of him carrying a movie. But in roles like Life, Boomerang, Bad Boys I thought he was perfect.... He has the range to be serious at times but comedy is obvious where he shines

For me he is a pretty good........ talk show guest. I guess he is a better actor than Chris Rock who I think is very good in stand up and interviewing others but who is horrible at acting.
Everyone on here is Stanning all of Martin's movies from 20 years ago. What has he been up to lately?
And don't no one better mention the atrocity that is the Beach Bum.
