Barely liked his show, never liked him as a stand up comedian.

But he got classic movies out there. I just don't find him "funny" he too corny. He's a TV comedian to me.

First of all I come in here and yall nikkas set trippin on Blue Streak bout to make me act a fool for disrespeckin :birdman:
And secondly
I think Martin knows his limits and stays within those limits. He did really well in Life which while still a comedy it was a different type of comedy that had some range to it. But he acts well for what he chooses he not outchea trying to be Daniel Day

You trippin mane.

Martin is one of the better stand up comedian turnt actor IMO.

He was great in Life, Thin Line, Bad Boy, Boomerang, etc.

Now he has his duds like any actor - Black Knight (although a guilty pleasure for me), Blue Streak, etc.

He’s a much better actor than dudes like Chappelle or Rock to me :francis: now Chris Rock can’t act worth a damn

Nah we ain't tolerating that type of slander in here :gucci:

My friends and I had a discussion myself personally I don’t think Martin really has a lot of range to do more serious roles and I think he should stick to what he knows in comedic movies.

Whether you like A Thin Line between love and Hate or not I’m not judging if you do I personally don’t think the movie that good because that type of role doesn’t fit Martin. I think they should have went with one of three guys: Will, Jamie, or Larenz Tate.

:camby: None of them would have done it justice. It was suppose to be a dark romantic comedy even though Martin was high during this time he still showed out in this role. And made it a hood classic.

I think thin line was his best acting roll in a movie. He can defiantly do drama. Most of his other movies except bad boys and house party seemed watered down for his style. Like a completely toned down Martin. I think he's at his best when he can do his style of comedy. People sleep on blue streak. I feel like he did more adlibs and showed how funny he can be in the mainstream (cac america).

In the 90s? Definitely Will or Jamie but I’d lean towards will a bit more
