Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
:dwillhuh::snoop::damn: you think i could still get in to the airforce with a paraphernalia citation? i can get it expunged also.
back in my day they had waivers... i had to get about 5 waivers for all the charges i had already

none were drugs tho... or felonies... but if you're committed enough and they are desperate enough, you can always get in

now the problem is... as i was getting out... they were lowering troop levels, finding any reason to kick nikkas out and offering big money to leave early... in other words... shyt became harder to stay in... so i imagine it must be harder to get in now

When I was recruiting, 2008 -2011, you couldn't get in the Army with one, and it wasn't waivable. The Air Force was even more strict than we were. From what I've heard, every branch has only gotten more strict in their enlistment qualifications. Even if you get it expunged, it won't help you. Go talk to them anyway, shyt may have changed. Just be prepared to talk to all branches if they blow you off. From my experience in recruiting, the AF was pretty good for blowing folks off if they had any little issue. Their recruiter used to pass people to us if he had to do any kind of work. He would say he gets about 25 voice mails a day, so he didn't have to do extra shyt if he didn't want to.

Probably not. Since they've been cutting back you basically have to have a perfect record to get in. The air force and navy are extremely picky on who they'll let in. Marines and Army(especially Army) are a little more lax.

Nothing but truth.

Here's the thing the Military becomes a bubble that lifers become trapped in. Dudes can tell you all about the regs, quote the NCO handbook word for word, all that shyt...but they're civilian life knowledge is low as fukk.

Take my dad for instance, he was a lifer in the Army. A 42A (Human Resources guy). My dads a smart guy and pretty down to earth. College educated (and not from the University of Phoenix) and all. But even he displays small quirks here and there that show me that even is somewhat out of touch with how the civilian world operates.

I think Vets more than any other retirees really get stir crazy because they've been released not just from a job, but from a LIFE STYLE.
how did he like doing AG work? I might do that myself

:what: are yall nikkas trolling me? i can't join because a fukking citation a fukking misdemeanor that was ruled NOLLE PROSEQUI?? fukk kinda shyt is that. when i went to a recruiter like last year she said they have waivers for the joint. and i took that practice asvab thing and got a 70 and i didn't even study. i doubt out of all the military personnel there isn't a single new person with a citation.

Unfortunately I'm not. Not saying you can't but with reduction of the military all branches are being picky on who they'll let in regardless of waivers. Air force has always been strict. I had to get a waiver when I enlisted in the Marines and that was ten years ago.

Didnt read all 12 pages but i recently joined...i was in the same boat about trying to get waivers etc

If the police never finger printed you, or you were a juvenile when it happend DO NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT. And in some cases, even if they finger printed you still dont tell them.

You'll be fine as long as your background check comes back clean. I thought i had 3 "charges" and turns out they basically didnt count:ohhh: I was playing myself:francis:

The whole point behind this prior charges thing is they dont want any Chief Keef ass nikkas in serving with them but lets be real no ones perfect..Like i said man just dont tell them anything unless there is documentation of what you did! ie felony etc
