They are working out constantly and moving around. You don't need a ton of protein to look cut. Look at some of the dudes from Africa that walk pretty much everywhere.
All that macro shyt is ONLY if you are trying to look like the Rock or something and you live a typical sedetary American lifestyle.
Notice how people back in the day were naturally slim/fit yet they weren't sipping kale juice and eating chicken breast every day. They ate the regular junk food we eat yet they had a naturally more active lifestyle. When you walk miles everywhere, and there's no Netflix or video games and no computers, they naturally spent more time out and about which means your body is burning more calories which means more fat is used up which means it will make you appear more ripped. Plus it helped that despite the fact that they ate burgers, soda and milkshakes, the portions were much smaller than they reached in the late 90s, early 2000s.
