That is how I approach it. Once I accept that I can't change it then I work towards learning how to accept it. After that I work towards moving on.

I think the hardest part bout forgiveness is forgiving yourself for allowing yourself to get hurt in the first place because there was definitely red flags early on that you chose to ignore that led to you getting hurt in the first place
