How do Black women see Kamala Harris? There’s a lot that ‘raises eyebrows,’ one expert says.

It's clear she didn't resonate with most because she didn't get the presidential bid.

I swear I'm not.:pachaha:

There are black people that measures black authenticity by whether or not you went to a black college. Or whether you joined a black fraternity. There are equally black people that measure authenticity by whether you marry a black spouse.

I promise you, I dismiss black dudes altogether when I learn they joined a white fraternity over a black fraternity like I did.

Don't know what it is.:yeshrug:
It's ignorant but the perception is no sense of dedication.
Which is very prominent in D.C

If this is not your argument than fine.
But what I'm countering is that this means nothing in the grand scheme of things when you don't consider their foundations.

When I look at Obama vs. Kamala this is what I see...

Based off of their backgrounds, to me, Barack's marriage to Michelle seems to have been pure luck. Because his background had him on track to marry a white woman.

And If Kamala's marriage disqualifies her in many people's eyes, fine I get that. But to make the argument that it makes her culturally inauthentic, you have to explain this....

It’s a fact. My dad grew up in Jim Crow south, the Deep South before he moved up north during the Great Migration. He was older than Emmett Till. One thing him and my grandma told me, don’t ever bring no peckerwood home. One of my brothers (he’s in his 50s now) wanted to marry a white woman round the time I was born and they told him they’d disown him. They look at white people and the black family way differently. They’re the soul of black America if we are being honest and that’s why politicians always try to appeal to them. Maybe it’s some truth to the fact that divesters is majority non ADOS but let me not derail.

Yes. LOL. In order order to get those policies you vote them in and push them to pass it:gucci:

The mental gymnastics needed to believe not voting is the answer

:what: Think, man. Why would a politician do anything for you once you've already given them your vote? That don't even make sense. Why do you think aipac meets with candidates, aka before the elections? You work all that out ahead of time. The vote is the REWARD.

The political naivete is astounding, and you got the nerve to be giggling. If the average woman used your strategy, she'd be fukking before you even got a chance to ask her out. :what:

It was pure luck and incidental. Obama grew up in Indonesia and Hawaii. His father was African and messed with white women. Of course, he was going to date Asian and White women.

Someone saying otherwise is lying. If he would've never got that job at Sidley and having Michelle assigned to him as an advisor he would've never met Michelle, despite both going to Harvard Law.

Regarding the topic, it’s important to ask actual bw how they feel. Like the comments in the article.

My personal opinion is neutral, politics is a flip floppy and profession. Like contemporary science and innovation, people’s opinion don’t revolve on a linear trajectory, but their stances rather dynamically evolve over time. There’s ways of thinking and habits that I had a few years ago, that I’ve completely evolved in regard to present day. I say this in regard to Kamala and Biden, I don’t particularly like either candidate but their messaging is right for the moment, so far.

No matter how much people hate her, she’s a very good debater and orator.

What I’m interested in seeing is if people in the bay fukk with her. When it comes down to Kamala vs the Trump campaign. Because she did make some people’s life a living hell.

@dora_da_destroyer

whose life did she make a living hell?
