Nothing about her cv partucularly resonates with me either, tbh.

It's clear she didn't resonate with most because she didn't get the presidential bid.

:bryan: Son. You wiling.

I swear I'm not.:pachaha:

There are black people that measures black authenticity by whether or not you went to a black college. Or whether you joined a black fraternity. There are equally black people that measure authenticity by whether you marry a black spouse.

I promise you, I dismiss black dudes altogether when I learn they joined a white fraternity over a black fraternity like I did.

Don't know what it is.:yeshrug:
It's ignorant but the perception is no sense of dedication.

At the beginning of mean streets
What AKA I don't kno that black sorority stuff

But I think folks issue is she was sworn in as the first Indian ag

That playing the fence Elle

How u the first Indian ag and than the first black woman Vice President candidate?

Her optics been bad from get go

On the surface her facial features look like a black woman but don't get it twisted Elle growing up in cali there Indian woman with black features.

I think Obama optics was better he was more consistent black than she been which makes me think she really considers herself both

Nothing wrong wit it ijs
Kamala is both Indian and black, so if there was already a black AG then she’d be the first Indian AG. An AKA is an Alpha Kappa Alpha, so she’s got a sisterhood for life that will go to bat for her. Whether or not it works is another issue entirely.

I was trying to explain the woman in the article's point on how the perception is different between Obama and Kamala. The person in the article talked about books and music, whether its genuine or not, that's how she saw Obama.

To her, she heard Obama's journey trying to get familiar with the culture and sees this at the end of it

She looks at Kamala's journey and sees this

If this is not your argument than fine.
But what I'm countering is that this means nothing in the grand scheme of things when you don't consider their foundations.

When I look at Obama vs. Kamala this is what I see...

Based off of their backgrounds, to me, Barack's marriage to Michelle seems to have been pure luck. Because his background had him on track to marry a white woman.

And If Kamala's marriage disqualifies her in many people's eyes, fine I get that. But to make the argument that it makes her culturally inauthentic, you have to explain this....

Just a thought what if Biden and Harris won and then Harris became president? Do y’all think with the current situation between China and India she’ll support India’s claim to lands and help fight China should India make overtures for war? In case it happens remember who said it first.
