Nothing on BTH bangs like "Why You Hate The Game" or "Ol English" or "Compton". Not even close actually. Not to mention these new west coast dudes like Blu don't even have a west coast sound. And I like Blu's music.

Something needs to bang to be good music?:snoop: The sound of the new west coast is defined by what the west coasts artists is making now. What are you even saying? You just said a west coast producer and a west coast MC don't have a west coast sound:childplease:

They don't. Blu and Exile were clearly MOSTLY influenced by east coast artists. Blu is a Nas stan.

Just say you don't like the record. Or give him credit for making a dope lbum. You're not even making sense. lol

I've already said I like the album, but your reading comprehension is as bad as your ear for music.

But game didn't put that album together. It's pretty obvious by how poorly constructed RED and LAX are as albums. Doctors advocate was put together by the aftermath team and slapped with a Geffen logo. Aftermath and g unit were still being paid off that album and later albums.

Theirs a reason game ran to cool and dre and pharell to executive produce and begged for dre. He doesn't know how to make an album.

nikka, the sound coming out of the west coast now is what defines what the new west coast sounds like. What don't you understand :leostare:. This is exactly why New York is pretty much dead now because yall are trying to box these dudes in and act like they have to sound like the 90s:childplease:

On some real, anybody who says Game is trash as a rapper is a hater who doesn't really listen to music. Regardless of what you think about dude personally, he's a dope ass rapper who has consistently put out good albums/mixtapes for damn near 10 years now. Yall need to quit gettin caught up in these dudes personal lives and appreciate good music

I'm not putting him in a box. I'm stating facts. Blu and Exile were largely influenced by the east coast aesthetic. So was Madlib and Heiro and Planet Asia and Alchemist and a whole bunch of the underground scene out west. Nothing wrong with that at all, but let's be real. If you didn't know where Blu was from you would have no idea BTH was a west coast album. Doctor's Advocate is the only definitive west coast album to drop since...The Documentary. lol

On what basis? Everyone that has ever rhymed over a beat was influenced by New York. Every west coast artist that came to define their coast watched what was going on in New York and added their own flavor so what is the difference between the new age adopting what they are influenced by? There is never a definitive sound from an area because whenever there are three guys doing one thing there are three guys doing the exact opposite, one guy biting everyone, and another guy just experimenting and pushing boundaries.

he's had a solid career with 3 great albums overall, during the whole g unot shyt game work ethic was bar none, he had mixtapes month after month, hoped on every remix available and freestyle on anything.

has he taken a step back in terms of buzz? yeah but its not like he had a memphis bleek type career

Game has had a decent career. He benefitted from the G Unit beef, but at the same time, he was killing himself.

Game without 50/Dre <<<<

All Game did was name drop in every fukking song. That shyt got annoying over time. The Documentary was a classic tho.
