Breh. That part of the movie has me floored every time- I don't read the script, script reads me
-What the hell does that even mean
-What you gettin at with the book, script, spit that shyt out man
That smile after he says that gets me every fukking time. I think RDJ just ad libbed that line, fukked up, was laughing at his mistake, and they kept it in.

People have a hard time with satire. Hence why chapelle show ain't around. Some people only get things on a surface level. That movie did not make blackface cool it was showing the ridiculousness of it.Because of the context homie. It was done to show how ignorant the practice was and how self absorbed actors often can be and how tone deaf hollywood can be. Plus you had a black guy there pointing out how racist it was the the only good black role in the movie went to a white guy. an australian at that. Come on @Blaze500 you're smarter than this
Fred.
That scene where he broke out if character when ben stiller and him near the end and he tipped his wig off was amazinglike it or not, if you have an appreciation for performance art you can admit RDJ played the hell out of that role. He's playing a character (with an Australian accent) within a character (with an English accent) who's STUCK in character (as a black man). Maybe it was sensory overload for some of you guys
nah the egypt movies starve darker skinned actors of big roles, tropic thunder is just hilariousRdj was amazing in this character looking back
Ttopic thunder towed the line of parody perfectly with the social commentary
jow the only good Role for a black man go to a white guy from australia
nikkas tryna make fun of tropic thunder the same ones who were pissed about thoae Egypt movies that came out
