His dad was a wealthy conservative, top of his class from MSU's business school, owned a number of auto dealerships and was the chairman of the Detroit Auto Show. Kid Rock grew up on a huge property in a 95% white suburb on the outskirts of Detroit, but his parents also bought multiple vacation homes in Florida. He bought a lot of the equipment to get Kid Rock started when he was a young teen and helped manage Kid Rock's career for some time. You can see he likely got a lot of his right-wing political beliefs from his dad.

All that head start in life, just to write lyrics like

Bawitdaba, da bang, da dang diggy diggy
Diggy, said the boogie, said up jump the boogie
Bawitdaba, da bang, da dang diggy diggy
Diggy, said the boogie, said up jump the boogie
Bawitdaba, da bang, da dang diggy diggy
Diggy, said the boogie, said up jump the boogie
Bawitdaba, da bang, da dang diggy diggy
Diggy, said the boogie, said up jump the boogie
My name is Kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiid
Kid Rock
Same cac that had lyrics like this.

I was on fire in this thread

He had absolutely no creativity, his lyrics were fukking stupid and sounded like a high school project to repeat the most repetitive rap tropes in your own words, his singing wasn't good enough to get anywhere in the industry until he became a "rapper" and culture vultured a hip hop image, and his production was just the regurgitated pop version of whatever was popular in hip hop the previous year.

He was literally the blandest, whitest distillation of hip hop possible. Disney in rap form.

Post Malone was Kesha for white boys, the dumbing-down of hip hop for the lowest common denominator. They just plugged whatever was popular in hop hop into a blender and gave it to a computer to form a new song from the pieces, then had it sung by a white boy posing with fake tats and a grill to give him an "urban" look. The masses love that shyt just like they love anything that sounds familiar and is stupid enough that it doesn't force them to think.

Q: Identify 6 differences between the following pictures

A: They're the same picture :unimpressed:

[low key the guy in the 2nd picture is a real-life singer and much more talented than Post Malone is]

On Post Malone, I already TOLD y'all since way back that he was a fraud and disrespectful to hip hop. There were a ton of warning signs and he was fake as fukk from the beginning. Can't believe anyone was fooled by that bullshyt.

Been telling y'all about this shyt for a decade, there has never been a more obvious play.

Remember what he looked like before he turned culture vulture?

Hell, even after he threw on the tats and the grill and the autotune, you could still see it. Turn the sound off and watch his actual moves, it's the same awkward-ass bad copying that sccit does in his videos.

Y'all got to stop saying he was embraced by the "community", I never met a black Post Malone fan in my life. He was "embraced" by black artists on major labels, who were incentivized through industry politics to work with him.
Exactly

bro you made some loops for a washed up rapper with no career. the last time i saw RBX on tv was on G4 tv. twenty years ago. you really think if Dre picked up the phone for RBX that he would have anything to do with you? get real man! :russ:

i hate to say anything bad about the man, cos i love RBX (the RBX files was so underrated)... and as far as presence and the timbre of his voice goes, he is like rap's thurl ravenscroft, bar none... but him hooking up with some culture vulture who throws around his name on the internet like some kind of cudgel for clout is a BAD look.

does RBX know how much you embarrass him on here? i'd damn near bet my account that he doesnt and wouldn't be happy about it.

I never really paid attention to his opinions on hip hop cause I don't really follow him like that but one thing I noticed while skimming through some of his interviews is that his demeanor is pretty chill and laid back. He just seems like a happy go lucky type dude, and if that's really him then people in the industry probably just like him on a personal level despite his opinions. Your "likability" can take you far in this game...

Iggy comes off like she has attitude

He's good at finding melodies and shh!t, melodic ass white boy. I don't listen to him mainly because he's white, just being honest, and he got dope fiend energy, but I always thought he was talented. He's way better than all the other whiteboys, besides the obvious.

Edit: I promise I didn't read a single post before I posted this, now I just scrolled up and see other people mentioning melodies too, salute to yall. Whiteboy got that part...which is probably the most important part of song making.

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster

Not a fan, but manzz does Better Now hit.

Especially when you tear things off w a romantic partner. U make music thats identifiable and has a good beat/hook/melody… its hard not for it to not be a billboard blazer.
