Matter of fact he has not sold out muscially at all And why is making movies for kids selling out hell the kids were black. Not all black kids or people live in the project and have to duck gun fire from Larenz Tate.

Cube to this day remains true to his craft has he ever even made an RB hit? His softest song may be "We Be Clubbin" which wasn't even soft. :manny:

selling out has always been changing what you do to cater to another crowd (the mainstream/pop crowd) i don't think Cube has ever gone from Wrong nikka Ta fukk Wit to something like a Vanilla Ice song or a fully pop record. even with something like We Be Clubbing, he didn't just completely trash what he was doing before, he didn't switch up his flow and try to be softer or anything like that and it was for a soundtrack about strip clubs

I don't know man, I wasn't a big fan of the Don Mega switch up from the nikka Ya Love To Hate but I did say that he didn't sell out imo.

When he was younger he was a thousand times more militant, especially about white people being the devil, and he was dissing New Jack Swing and R&B for c00nery. He grew up and changed like everyone does, and he probably doesn't agree with a lot of what he used to say, and I bet ya that young Cube would have called himself a sell out cause of it.

nikka is still the man the best west coast artist to ever make it imo, probably the best rapper to ever make it too. But that's debatable.

The top 25 of all time is always a great debate. But it's a few mainstays and Cube is usually one of them. :obama:

that's pretty much the definition of "selling out"

So cube was supposed to be that same rapper forever that was in NWA and Westside Connection. In a world where we clown nikkas for trying to live in the past and not acting their age like Allen Iverson, we're gonna actually say Cube sold out for actually growing up. Come on now we no Cube ain't and has never been a killer. He's just doing what most rappers should start doing. Being real.

you can sugar-coat it, and rationalize why he did it, but it is what it is :manny:

The dude's 43, he's got kids and shyt yet people want him to act like he's some sort of west coast super gangster? As long as he isn't living some sort of fraud/fake persona like Rick Ross I don't give a fukk. He sure as hell doesn't owe me shyt.

Cube is probably in the best position for any old rapper, he's released piff for decades and naturally being a rapper he'll release music here and there but I doubt even he wants to get big in the music business again. He's had his time and he'd rather sit back and relax making movies than deal with the bullshyt of touring everywhere.

when you make hardcore songs(street, militant, gangsta, etc), and is well known for that, its hard to take said persons music serious after they start making light, kind hearted movies...thats just reality.

exactly, and it doesn't help when you double down on it by making songs like "true to the game". he set up a trap for himself
