How did Alonzo Mourning average 21 and 10 with 3.5 blks as a rookie?

like its been said 4 years of college and was already smart to the game

but main thing was zo had a fukkING chip on his shoulders like no other dude just brought it everygame

also he was on a shytty team too so he had to play like that just to get a chance to

but think about if Anthony Davis did 4 years or Andre Drummond what kinda numbers they put up there rookie years

I don't see that happening again anytime soon for a center. And he did this at 6'9-6'10. Just don't get why bigs can't dominate like that anymore.

The game as a whole has regressed 3 or 4 levels, you got nikkas from the 90's damn near 40 still contributing and putting up stats better than these young boys. Stern saw this problem by players not staying in college to actually learn the small details of the game, but the wait one year rule is just prolonging the inevitable.........

Zo was that nikka though:salute:

:damn: He probably had the GOAT motor and intensity for the center position and a terrific 2-way player. Even when Zo was :flabbynsick: with the Nets & his last Heat run, he played hard everytime and gave it his all. THE only Heat player I've ever fukked with.

It happened...back in 92', ZO was actually my favorite player...

The Hornets were a BEAST back then. It's a wonder they never made it to the finals.

They had LJ, ZO, Kendall Gill, Mugsy, Dell Curry etc etc...

Morning use to school Ewing, Mutumbo and Shaq back then...Shaq was a huge name tho and more dominant, so Alonzo wasn't nearly as popular.

But Alonzo was probably the 3rd best center behind Olajuwan and Shaq in a major crop of centers back then.

Anyone who denies that simply didn't live through it.

I get the 4 year thing but the best center in the league never went to college. Dwight is the best overall 5 in the game and he's under 7'0. The 2nd best was Andrew Bynum and he never went to college. There's no excuse for guys like Roy Hibbert and Javale Mcgee to not have any offensive go to move. But on the other hand next year we'll be talking about Vucevic being a top 2 center in the game and he did go to school for 4 years so it's hard to say.

Brad Daugherty was a borderline elite center back in the 80s and 90s before those back injuries.

Duckworth would beast today

not sure about that

Smits was taller but not as big as Lopez and Brook was a better scorer.

:stopitslime:
Kevin Duckworth was a 2 time all star before he became overweight,

That still doesn't mean elite Mr. Sports Wikipedia
