Almost all popular music traces their deep roots back to African-American communities in America. Not trying to be cocky, but hardly any group on Earth can beat that influence.
We make great things, but what a few ppl in here are saying is that not OWNING or controlling these things we're great at is a problem. Other races profit too much off of our talents.
A lot of the things named in here: basketball, rap, fashion sense, etc
Those guys weren't saying we aren't superior at these things....they were saying instead of always bragging about how we're "envied" for these things, we should be trying to control these things more.
Our mindset does need to change in that aspect. We kind of limit ourselves to being the best "players", the best "workers", the best "dressers" aka consumers, etc how about wanting to be the best owners, the best investors, the best businessmen etc instead of wanting to make others rich off of us all the time. How about bragging about how we make money off of others culture and communities, instead of others making money off of ours so much?
Other races see what we are good at and they capitalize off of it. They look at ways they can PROFIT off of what we are good at or love to do. We need to adopt this same OWNERSHIP mindset.
