Was this the Jesus returns episode of Family Guy?
Also this still doesn't beat when Hoe Rogan went up on stage and called Carlos Mencia on his bs

Phil Lamar was in Pulp Fiction and hes also a very popular voice actor in cartoonsI went to look up alums, and saw Key and Peele. Okay two but I'd argue they owe more of their success to their comedy central show.
I don't know who Phil Lamarr is.
Pulp fiction predates madtv but that's cool. Big Brain Brad's friend.Phil Lamar was in Pulp Fiction and hes also a very popular voice actor in cartoons
They're doing fine but they didn't move on to become the biggest standup in the world like Chris Rock in 1997.
They didn't move on to have box office runs like Eddie in the 80s or Jim Carrey in the 90s.
Natural jumps for great comedic talents. Makes sense.
For as successful as he's become Watching Peele on MadTv did you think to yourself Oscar winning horror director?
But she ain't in a buddy cop movie with The Rock though![]()
Stop. You're taking this personal. I don't know if you are a cast member or former cast member but take it easy.
Nobody needs to be Chris rock in 97 or Eddie in the 80's or Jim Carrey in the 90's. If you want to do the research, do it. The former cast of Madtv with a few exceptions are doing well on tv and in movies today.
And when I learned that Peele was actually writing his own skits on madtv, I told someone he could go places. Like I said we use to watch SNL and Madtv and argue over what was funny what wasn't funny who was funny who wasn't funny who's gonna be in movies who's gonna flop etc.
You probably don't know who Frank Caliendo is but he got his own show and we were like. He great, hes hilarious and can do characters but he wasn't the one. There's a certain corner that's hard to turn successfully career wise once you come from these types of shows. The ones who do it, make it look easy, then there are ones who fail horribly and everyone remembers those, then there's some who just fade away.
All these cats are doing well. With a couple exceptions. Other than that I'm certain they're happy with how their life is going.
These nikkas are still on TV and in movies in 2022 whether you found them funny or not. Your input in completely invalid.Stop.
How is any of this personal on my end? Projection. I'm not the madtv superfan here.
I'm simply saying, funny people - to the level of being on TV, usually go on to continue making careers out of being funny. If they're funny.
I know Frank Caliendo from Madden impersonations. Ehh.
Madtv was just never funny.
Talented writers, voiceover actors, etc and successful at that. . . just not funny.
Yes. There's plenty of jobs to go around but there's a different stature and regard when you're Dave Chappelle as opposed to Lois on Family Guy.These nikkas are still on TV and in movies in 2022 whether you found them funny or not. Your input in completely invalid.

Madtv cooked his ass.
Long money. She's been doing the voice for 22 years! And that's not her only role. She still does live action tv and movies.Yes. There's plenty of jobs to go around but there's a different stature and regard when you're Dave Chappelle as opposed to Lois on Family Guy.
Relative anonymity. Appreciated by a select fanbase and yes, long money but the wide recognition of their talent isn't what it is for superstar comedians and legends.Long money. She's been doing the voice for 22 years!
Phil Lamarr has been doing Hermes Conrad 22 years granted futurama has been cancelled and brought back several times. He's good. And that's not his only voice over gig.
Legendary status is like 5% of hollywood/entertainment. People don't get on the stage/mic/court hoping to be a legend. They just do what they do best and want to do well in their own regard, regardless of what critics say. And at the end of the day if their paper stacks up its a +.Relative anonymity. I don't think Wilma Flintstone has a star on the walk of fame. Lucille Ball does. I love Lucy was funny. MadTv was never funny.
yeah patrice always fukked with dane. he spoke highly of him even when dane was on the downturn and other comics were shytting on him. I think it's because he was always just authentically himself and not trying desperately to be edgy like a lot of other comics wereDane was okay in my book. I remember seeing one of his specials were he sold out MSG. Dude was huge.
I remember Patrice ONeal talking about this on Opie and Andy. He said Family Guy killed Dane Cook by pointing out his routine or shtick. He said that I believe in 2010.
Honestly Patrice ONeal has some great conversation material on YouTube when he was on O&A. Check it out.
