Nobody needs to be Chris rock in 97 or Eddie in the 80's or Jim Carrey in the 90's. If you want to do the research, do it. The former cast of Madtv with a few exceptions are doing well on tv and in movies today.
And when I learned that Peele was actually writing his own skits on madtv, I told someone he could go places. Like I said we use to watch SNL and Madtv and argue over what was funny what wasn't funny who was funny who wasn't funny who's gonna be in movies who's gonna flop etc.

She ain't host the Emmys. It's been like 3 decades should probably get a job at a call center or something. Alex Borstein as much as I dislike her for behind the scene off screen reasons has won some Emmys recently.

I'm simply saying, funny people - to the level of being on TV, usually go on to continue making careers out of being funny. If they're funny.

Yes. There's plenty of jobs to go around but there's a different stature and regard when you're Dave Chappelle as opposed to Lois on Family Guy.

Relative anonymity. Appreciated by a select fanbase and yes, long money but the wide recognition of their talent isn't what it is for superstar comedians and legends.
I don't think Wilma Flintstone has a star on the walk of fame. Lucille Ball does. I love Lucy was funny. MadTv was never funny.
Legendary status is like 5% of hollywood/entertainment. People don't get on the stage/mic/court hoping to be a legend. They just do what they do best and want to do well in their own regard, regardless of what critics say. And at the end of the day if their paper stacks up its a +.
The voice of Wilma Flintstone might not be on the walk of fame but I'm sure she or her family aren't hurting. And even if that flintstone money has dried up I'm certain they're proud of her.
