I'm not requoting anyone so if they see it, they see it. Jordan's were usually 120$ like dude said... but the more he won, the more expensive shyt got. Money and inflation does matter for the dude that quoted me first. 120$ today and 120$ in 1994 is two completely different things. People are also skipping over the fact that the reason people got robbed, was because you could only get them certain places and for a limited time. It became a waiting list or line and they could tell you when they sold out from the jump. Comparing retro releases nowadays to originals with 3 styles is nonsensical because there was no competition back then. You either got the 2-3 colors in 1993 or you didnt
It was a very cut and dry sale. There werent options because they were the first run of the concepts. That dude posted the adjusted price graph, that shyt was wild expensive back in early 90s ....
a pair of jordans in 1994 costs HALF THE PRICE OF A TELEVISION. This is when television was the centerpiece of your whole house. People can say what they want about TV and shyt. I had a bunch and some used ones. But mad families only had 1 or 2 Tv's in the whole crib until the late 90s, especially older people back then who didnt usually have TV's in bedrooms. Maybe I'm tripping too, because like dude said.... most were usually 120$ at most spots. But people who had a bigger log would price that shyt how they wanted and tack on extra because of demand. I also remember alot of places charging you to hold a pair in extreme cases. Working retail was wild back then because there was just newspaper ads and showing up in person. If you dont believe it, go look up 1998 when they released the Furby
people were in the stores like it was fukking wall street
