I remember being in the mall, deciding should i get the new Js or Air Flights. I chose the Flights instead

As crazy as it was, you were still able to walk into a Footlocker and grab a pair of Cement or BRED 4s when they released. I remember vividly seeing both pairs on display in Footlocker.
My first pair were the Military Blue 4s I got for Xmas 1989 and dudes thought I was rich
I do remember one of my white classmates walking in to class one morning with the BRED 6s and I stared at his feet the rest of the day
When did they come out
We had no awareness of release dates, Js just showed up in stores with little fanfare so if you were first you were the man

the best and worse times. The quality was so crazy if you took a Jordan from like 93 and compare it to now you would think todays are fakes. Some kids got killed. I had a childhood friend got killed for his cements
