You seemingly don’t know enough on the subject to make this statement but do you

Progressives are also not asking for true communism so I’m not sure where you’re getting that from except for right wing sources who say things like “loony left”

Edit: if you’re in the UK and bashing socialism that’s fukking comical :russ:

Like come the fukk on

I disagree with socialism but @Acid Cannon is clearly a white man posing as a black brit and if he is a black brit he’s absolutely a mega-tron c00n for stanning British Monarchy

In short fukk that fakkit

Can someone explain to me how socialism/communism is anti-black? Reparations is literally wealth distribution from the oppressors to the oppressed. The federal government is the largest employers of ADOS in this country and is the backbone of the black middle class. I don’t understand why people would be against it if they are black. Black leaders like malcolm z and mlk were communists. Kwame Nkrumah, Julius Nyerere etc.
how can you be black and trust white people (and others) so much you want to give them more control of your life?

that shyt makes no sense..,.
you trust them people to do right by you because you dont want to own anything

were minorities...
dont forget that

The problem with this discussion is that it revolves around criticising an imperfect system that is our current reality and comparing it to a system that has never existed in reality.

The majority of the political content I consume is socialist or far left leaning (more perfect union, Diallo Kenyatta, and second thought on youtube, rev left radio and guerilla history podcasts) but I make sure to watch and listen to opinions from all sides of the political spectrum to not get caught in an echo chamber. That includes democratic voices like pod save america, tyt, and right media like the war room podcast and conservative twitter pages.
I prefer the socialist/communist voices because they genuinely want whats best for all people, and are the only ones who consistently acknowledge and call out white supremacy in america and worldwide. The far left are the only ones that always support reparations for ADOS, and who demand an end to the prison industrial complex, as well as the school to prison/military pipeline.

Because we don’t want to be slaves to the state?

Don’t read history brehs
That isn't communism.

Communism is an economic and political system aiming for a classless society in which all property and resources are collectively owned by the community rather than by individuals. Its origins can be traced back to Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, who laid out its principles in the 19th century, most notably in works such as "The Communist Manifesto." The goal of communism is to create a society where wealth and power are distributed equally, eliminating social classes and state structures (in their current form) over time. In theory, this system seeks to address the issues of inequality, exploitation, and oppression by abolishing private property and establishing a communal ownership of the means of production (e.g., factories, land, resources).

HOWEVER

Due to human error. communism has been implemented in various countries throughout the 20th century, including the Soviet Union, China, Cuba, and North Korea, with varying outcomes and significant deviations from Marx's original vision. These implementations have often been marked by centralized planning, one-party rule, and the suppression of political dissent, leading to significant controversies and debates regarding the effectiveness and ethical implications of communism as practiced by these states.

What does that mean? IN THEORY it should work, HOWEVER, humans are flawed and greedy.

Neither does late stage capitalism.
I would say the best system currently working today, would be China's Neo Communism. Its very effective, esp when dealing with over 2 billion people. In a matter of decades they have both socialism, communism (party by name), and free market capitalism all in one. Creating a place that has multiple NYC size cities in a short period of time without any political bickering.

This unique model has evolved significantly since the country's reform and opening-up policies initiated by Deng Xiaoping in the late 1970s. Today, China's system is characterized by:

  • Single-party rule: The Communist Party of China is the sole governing party, with no opposition parties participating in the political process in a significant way.
  • Mixed economy: While maintaining state ownership over key industries and sectors considered the "commanding heights" of the economy (such as finance, energy, and telecommunications), China has also embraced market reforms. This includes allowing private enterprise and foreign investment to flourish in many sectors, leading to rapid economic growth and development.
  • State capitalism: Some analysts use this term to describe China's economic system because of the significant role the state plays in directing the economy, including substantial investments and ownership in key industries, alongside a growing private sector.
  • Authoritarian political system: The government maintains strict control over political expression, media, and civil society, with limited political freedoms compared to liberal democratic systems.
The last one is a no go for me. It's what they are criticised the most for, and what causes their civil unrest. they need to fix that

China's political system is founded on communist ideology, its economic model incorporates elements of market capitalism, and its governance model is authoritarian. This blend of characteristics makes China a unique case that doesn't fit neatly into traditional categories like purely communist or capitalist.
