How come the hood doesn't recognize the brillance of The Godfather 1 and 2?

I'll never forget being in a Pizza Hut back in the day, ordering some food. It was late at night and they had a small tv showing The Godfather. Couple nikkas was watching, and one was complaining on some "this ain't half as good as Scarface" steez. I felt like slapping him. Godfather is not just a great movie, it's 10 ten of all time status at least. Scarface is cheesy as fukk...

The Godfather drops so many jewels too, I'm surprised black people kinda don't fukk with it. Seems like The Sopranos helped some folks appreciate The Godfather more. Family drama, betrayals, etc.
