He's made records that turn up in clubs even if not in the traditional 808s sense (Made You Look, Hate Me Now, Got Yourself a Gun and then songs for girls like Oochie Wally) and he can make New York style bangers (Theif's Theme, Nasty)
Thats not really his lane. Hes been featured on those kind of records like Quick To Back Down but its really all about your audience. Because people have this expectation of nas, even if he made a good club record the perception of the artist would prevent people from giving it a chance

It probably didnt pop in the south and the midwest but the summer of 2012, I heard The Don at a lot of spots, but thats an East Coast kind of record with a heavy super cat influence so I wasnt surprised NY and Europe felt it but the rest didnt . That is a dope record though
