I mean, Macklemore represents more than just a white rapper, but sure i guess. Its just hard to say that when hes a hipster, from seattle, who got put on by hipsters in seattle. like that was his strongest proponent during his rise out from obscurity.

macklemore comes off as a nice guy. everything eminem does not come off as. mgk is a porn addict and yelawolf is on em's label, and his rapping style is loud and fast. they ain't trying to hear that shyt.

No label just "helps" you reach stardom. Look at drake a white Jewish rapper with the best deal around for any rapper yet he still has the label telling him what to do while being in his pockets. Tech 9 is a giant in the Indy game probably one of the most successful indy artist & has been at it forever but he aint nowhere near where macklemore at mainstream wise because you need a machine only labels provide.
