Kendrick and j Coles favorite rappers are HOV and nas

You guys saying the younger generation gives Wayne his props and looks at him like a legend are mistaken, Wayne can't even sell out a small venue. It's like he's caught in a twighlight zone between both generations, and even though he influenced a lot of rappers it seems both the younger and older generation look at him as a joke.

If HOV and nas put out a commercial today that they have an album dropping next week HIP HOP would pause and that's would be the talk of town ( see MCHG) if Wayne did the samething no one would care older or younger
You can hear the Wayne influence in a lot of Kendricks work. Especially early stuff.

Wayne is a legend.

Cos Wayne allows other men to inflict their desires onto him plus he embraces his inner cac. We can get onto ability but I feel i've done enough

Jay and Nas don't drop mixtapes, also both of them have undeniable classics... Wayne doesn't have that Ilmatic or Blueprint in his catalog.
:whoa:

I am nowhere near a Wayne stan....but The Carter is a certified classic.

Hell, "Dedication 2" as a MIXTAPE is better than most rappers' label-released albums.

He fell of too fast.

2004-2009ish.

Nas dropped his first dope album 94, latest in 2012.
Jay first dope in 96, latest in 2011.

And except longevity, his best shyt is like some of their (dope but) forgettable projects like I Am and Vol.1.

There's levels.

The new generation gives Wayne his props. Prolly the most out of all the older statesmen.

Only reason why the 30 and up crowd give Wayne a hard time is cause he is from the south, and his style of rap was very unorthodox at the time.

I say it all the time, if Wayne was from Brooklyn or something, just off his career alone, you motherfukkas would have him over BIGGIE n all these other East Coast legends like Slick Rick, Krs, etc.
:mjlol: Wayne's style was dumbed down NY mixtape rapper with more diverse flows, fukk outta here.

Wayne is the best rapper alive. I still never heard nobody rap better than Wayne in his prime, he got 3 classic albums in a row(Carter 1-3),he is the main influence of all of today's legends (Young Thug, Future, Kendrick, Drake), he changed the whole blueprint of the game, and if he decided to lose the auto tune and the whiney crying singing shyt he do now he could make atleast one more classic album that is guaranteed to go atleast 2x platinum.

Now that I think about it:jbhmm:

It's kind of disrespectful for you :flabbynsick: dudes to even try to compare Wayne to Nas and Jay Z because Wayne on a whole nother level from them. Only person that comes close is Pac.

If wayne would have dropped some real bars and talked about life more (corny as it sounds) he would be set. The problem is he's content with his p*ssy bars, I don't think I've heard a song in the last 3 years of his where he didn't reference p*ssy in some way. Contrary to popular belief, people like rappers talking about their problems or the world's problems, makes em relatable. The biggest of this gen are people who talk about their situation (Drake) and the world (Kendrick, J Cole)

If he got on some godly non-trap beats and rapped about real subject matter in a meaningful way he'd be more respected. I know he has it in him too because Wayne has definitely lead an interesting life.

Its sad brehs :mjcry:

His music wasn't awful until after the Carter 4. No Ceilings is a classic

Not cause of that. I LOVE 90s and early 2000s Southern Hip Hop. Lil Wayne is just wack to me. That hating the south angle is growing tired IMO
