Ginuwine made better music than Usher for damn sure. And his singles were way better.
I listen to ginuwine more than Usher and have never BOUGHT an usher album in my life.
As far as better singles, which single and video besides pony (from G's first album) was going to match usher's follow up single to the my way album?

Not ducking. The bachelor was released in 1996. The nice and slow single and video didn't come out till 1998. In which "Same Ol G" came out that same year as a single.
Only cause of the soundtrack. i know they threw it on the album but it was for the soundtrack ,that's why it came out when it did

Singles from Dr. Dolittle
  1. "Are You That Somebody?"
    Released: June 16, 1998
  2. "Same Ol' G"
    Released: July 28, 1998
  3. "That's Why I Lie"
    Released: September 22, 1998

I know. But like I said. He was working on his second album already. shyt was basically done by the time he released Same Ol G as a single. And as far as videos. Ginuwine almost exclusively had better videos than Usher at that point in time. All his videos for his second album were better.

If "tell me do u wanna" had a different video I feel it could've competed. Nice and Slow was a fukkin beast tho. Lol. Not really fair considering Usher took the blueprint Ginuwine laid down on the bachelor and ran wit it. nikka wasn't pop lockin or break dancin or none of that before then.

I love tell me do you wanna. Awesome song. But yea it needs a better video AND nice and slow is a better song. I think usher is more of a B.Brown clone than ginuwine, but timing wise,i feel you. nikkas had stopped dancing till ginuwine brought it back

Yup. They stopped. Not only that. Music videos hit a MAJOR stride between 96 and 98. The shyt that nikkas was doin in 97 with music videos was some other shyt. Which opened the gates for Usher's video to be more cinematic like that. Also as far as overall Bobby brown clone I feel u. But the nikka was rockin the fedora's and gliding across the room n shyt. All that came from what Ginuwine was doin and bringing back in style.
