Running your household, raising your sons right in this mess, handling these 'independent' raised black women into being the good wife/mother they suppose to be. Going through all the bullish of the system because you got responsibilities at home.




You have to understand the mentality. Most of these guys want RESPECT first. All men & their Ego want that respect. These guys grow up hearing how yo daddy was a G, he was TRUE . So most of them think that they aren't going to be anything other than a thug anyway so they feel..."hey atleast I'ma get my respect."

Alot of the guys who try to do right & end up with broken homes or fall by the way side is because they don't feel they are respected inside or outside their home. Their woman makes more money than them, is more educated & then the media puts it out that you ain't ballin like a G...so who respects dude?

This is true and I agree. We as a people have to heal the wounds that slavery, jim crow, ect have created so we can do better as a whole. It's hard but I have faith in our race. It'll take time, but thats ok. We have done a lot with what we have and dont have as a people and I believe that we will only begin to get better.

Do you feel like you would have prevented his lifestyle choice had you been around? My dad used to tell me for the longest "you wouldnt listen to your mom if I wasn't around" I would tell him naw I would but I'm starting to slowly realize he was right. If my dad wasnt around I would have ended up going down the wrong path. The fact that he was able to teach me right from wrong and the fear of disappointment from him made me want to do something with my life.
